I've got a Mark IV combo, and the speaker cable doesn't really seem to be very high quality.

I've got some speaker cable from my car's sound system from the subwoofers that looks like this

The cable on my amp right now is thick but the actual wires soldered to the speaker are pretty wimpy standard stuff, while the speaker wire from my subs are massive in comparison but they are only shielded like you see above with clear plastic, no thick black sheath around it.

I was wondering if it would work for my amp and do you think it would be an improvement?

Buy a simple electrician cable...one with 2 wires inside. I mean, rubber covering with 2 covered wires inside. The longer you need the cable, the bigger has to be the cable.
The one you showed is ok....but it could be difficult to solder the jack with that plastic.
