According to The Pulse Of Radio, a British man has launched a crowdfunding campaign to have NICKELBACK banned from playing in London. Craig Mandell is hoping to raise $1,000 for his effort to keep the Canadian rock act out of the English capital for the foreseeable future. Mandell explained, "With your help, we can ensure that the band do not schedule any gigs here, do not attempt to come here nor even phone here."He added, "Just imagine, thousands perhaps tens of thousands of music lovers all not witnessing an exclusive concert by NICKELBACK in London. It will be glorious."Those who participate in Mandell's scheme which has raised just $104 at press time will have an email sent on their behalf to NICKELBACK's management. The harshness of the message depends on how much money is contributed.For the top price of $50, Mandell will send NICKELBACK a copy of their own music, saying, "This way, the band will hear their own music, and likely retire immediately."Mandell has given himself until November 3 to raise the funds necessary.Mandell is friends with Andrew Goldin, who recently launched a successful crowdfunded campaign to bring FOO FIGHTERS to Richmond, Virginia for a concert. A similar effort has been underway to convince the FOOs to play a show in the Cornwall region of the U.K.NICKELBACK's new album, "No Fixed Address", arrives on November 18.
