The production is by a million miles the worst you will hear in 2011 and a complete joke to be honest. I thought the production on the last album was bad but this is even worse. All intentional I'm sure. The songs are mostly a dirgy, murky sort of epic metal which is more or less rendered unlistenable due to worse than demo sound quality. There are some reasonable moments underneath the mud but ultimately this is one for the MR cultist fanboys out there to KO themselves with!

This thing out on CD yet?

For real though, that production is kinda horrible, and it makes the quality of the content there really suffer for it. I mean, I get it, it's kinda like reliving the fantasy of discovering a new, underground band for the first time, but these guys have been around for ages, and should really know better by now.

But even though it sounds like you're listening to it in the next room, at least the instruments are actually somewhat distinct, with some decent dynamic range and it generates less ear fatigue than the last pair of albums.

I really dig the two tracks that are up on youtube and despite the fact that it sounds like what I imagine it would sound like to someone suffering from hearing loss, i still wish I had a means of playing the vinyl.
