I was just aimlessly perusing through the forums and found this section called New Band Showcase and figured I'd drop a little thread about my band, named March Across the Graves. Check us out, it's pretty awesome death metal:

FYI if I had to classify us, I would probably have to say tech death. It's weird thought, I can't exactly define it. The songs were originally written with heavy influences from bands like Iron Maiden and Megadeth, but then they tried to go a bit heavier and throw in harsh vocals with it, it sounds pretty interesting.
P.S. I do the vocals, and all of these were recorded with an mp3 player. We pretty much have shit when it comes to recording equipment and all we have is the gear that allows us to play and thats about it. Also note that the day we recorded these (on a crappy mp3 microphone, mind you) I had been suffering from the flu for a week and it did crazy weird things to my voice. Whenever I tried to go to higher pitches, my voice would crack and sound like tires squealing when someone hits the brakes hard. So I could only use my lows, and even then it would have a very nasally and weird sounding voice due to the excess of saliva in my mouth. Lol, sorry, just wanted to protect my image Have fun.
P.P.S. I am not ashamed to say that me, the two guitarists, and the drum player are only 16 years old. The bassist is 18. The way I figure it, if we can do this shit at our age, we can only get better.
