Ibanez 170dx- marshall 8100- fender speaker and shure sm57. I tried 4 mic positions, cap, cap edge, cone and cone edge, 4 takes - 4 guitars in the mix:

You need a better cab dude. It's not bad but you can tell the cab doesn't help.

Yes, need better cab. I have only one fender speaker.
This is maybe good choice:

Yeah, the amp has a nice shape of the sound, but I don't prefer this cab as well.
You may also consider recording a DI amp signal to process it with impulses/other cab simulation afterwards.

The 8200's are badass, I miss mine...same amp with 200 watts and 4 speaker outs!!...I powered 4 cabs once and was blown away for a solid state. Wayne Static changed guitar endorsements weekly, but he never strayed from the 8100. with a little fuzz added it's a sick grind amp. A cheap keeper for sure

Just add gain pot ( with 2 capacitors and 2 resistors ) after Marshall 8100 send and before input of tube power amp

Marshall 8100 preamp ( from send ) and tube power amp, first one ECC83 center and L/R, and then ECC83 & ECC82 center and L/R, all with one EL84
