This afternoon, the car next to me (Mercedes SUV, driver female mid-fortiesh) had a personalized license plate, something like "ALWYZ BZ", and on the door was one of those big magnets advertising the driver as 'Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant'. While driving I started to ponder Mary Kay...

Does this organization truly empower women in business in a constructive way?
Do these reps really provide a needed service to the female population?
Or is it just a pyramid scheme/scam that preys on insecurities of women?o_O

I personally don't know anyone involved with it. Thought I'd throw it out to the forum to see if there were any opinions...

my mom used to do the mary kay thing then she gave up on it. we still have some suitcases lying around, hehe.

Mary Kay looks ten years younger than she actually is. Too bad she's like, 80, so it doesn't really matter anyway. :D
