Hah, count me in if there's a track called "Blasteroids."

Also while I loved Crack The Skye, the notion of a return to the heaviness of Leviathan most certainly piques my curiosity. I don't think there's a heavier song that came out last decade than "Blood & Thunder."

Crack the Skye is my least favorite album by theses guys so this is hopefully good news.

The last several Mastodon albums were in regular rotation on WREK-FM, meaning you could conceivably hear any song from them at any time. I'll be curious to see if a heavier album makes it this time.

Hope so, as this band really deserves their success. They even played a live show in the studio for us, many years ago.

I loved Crack the SKye, but I also love their heavier stuff too. Generally speaking, I think they can do no wrong, so I am definitely looking forward to this.

They're all pretty different. Just depends on your taste. My favorite record from them will change 4 times in a week. I'd just spin Remission and work your way chronologically from there.

I'm certain i'm in the minority in feeling this, but they're not going to be able to top Blood Mountain.

However, I wasn't huge about CtS at all, so the return to heavier stuff is more than welcome.

I love crack the Skye but still haven't been able to get into the earlier albums. I'll check out this new one still as the heaviness isn't really what detracted me from the other albums.

Hopefully the classic logo will remain somewhere...although this direction is quite welcome. I do look forward to this album's release.

Two new songs. Curl of the Burl is pretty boring IMO but Black Tongue is awesome.
