Im loving this new Mastodon record, Crack The Skye. Its easily the best record of 2009 in my opinion. Im also stoked about the tour. Heres the link if you want to see if they're comin to your town.

It will probably make my top 10 list as well, but I still prefer Leviathan.

They've always been a very interesting band.

I like Crack The Skye, but it's a bit too proggy imo. I definitely prefer Leviathan & Blood Mountain.

Crack the Skye pretty much got me into Mastodon, too. I enjoyed it a lot, so I went and picked up Leviathan, which I like even more.

Crack the Skye is definitely not the album of the year, though. It's simply a solid album.
