Mayhem vs. Burzum

Which do you like better? Personally i like Burzum a lot more.

I know this is a borkngar forum, but what the hell, theres no burzum or general black metal boards.

eh. i like one burzum album and one mayhem album, so it dont matter. who cares. both are decent but overrated bands. hvis tar lyset os is the only burzum i like and grand declaration of war is the mayhem i like.

I agree with KamelotGuardian, they both suck, Varg is an idiot and a fucking nazi, and the mayhem guys are not much better in any way... these bands are a shame for the whole metal scene

i think burzum only has one decent album, and thats 'hvis lyset tar oss'..

so my vote goes to mayhem. albums like mysteriis, wolf lairs abyss and grand decleration are all great i think!

I hate NSBM too, but the majority oof Burzums good stuff was written and recorded BEFORE Varg gained such "ideals", and when he was reportedly anti-racism and anti-nazi....(info from my fuzzy recollections of Lords of Chaos)

I like Burzum very much, Mayhem also (but not so much )
Theire music is an important step in evolution of (black) metal.
