i like this new VADER release ... The Beast ... good chunky stuff. No filler tracks, good heabanging, helicopter style riffing.

The last Vader album, Revelations, is probably my favourite Vader release. I love the way this band has matured, but at the same time, you can still hear their admiration for the older stuff like Slayer and Possessed.

Chunky indeed. I might pull out some Revelations tonight...could do with some Vader in me ears.

this one is way better than REVELATIONS ... a natural progression, but just so ... ugh ... fucking metal

hmmm, from what I've heard idn't impress at all. De Profundis, their debut, and Black to the Blind were kind of blah. Don't know.

Vader is thrash to me. I know they're legacy is in death metal, but as far as I'm concerned, I don't hear Revelations being that far beyond anything Slayer could do.

I guess if there is a fine line between thrash and death, it's Vader. Can't wait to hear the new one.

That is so profound, I want to weep.
get me a reviewer job at RC and you shall receive wisdom filled and quotable reviews like that.

can't you just see the above quote on an ad for the new Vader CD? i think it says all it needs to say. Shit, i would buy it :D

I think you should become Editor-in-Chief.

I would buy two.

Every thrash and / or grind fan needs De Profundis. When Vader is on they are fucking ON, but sometimes they are just average.

NAD - you still haven't heard Revelations right?
I heard one song off of it and it RULED. Other than that I've only heard what I have: Black to the Blind, De Profundis, and Litany.

Holy Fuck! Somewhere I said that the new Vader material sounded blah, but I listened to the 3 song sampler again today and it's as if a light shone upon me to guide me out of the darkness....

...I still don't really like the first song, "Out of the Deep" because it doesn't sound like anything new, and I think it kept throwing me off, but the next two were excellent.

Too early to compare it to Revelations which is one of my fave DM albums ever.

i love this fucking new one.

I read a review somewhere on UM that said that this does not have their original drummer (injusred during recording).
Well this might have been a blessing as I love the fucking drums on this. this dude has some weird groove with these Lombardo like cymbal accents that just rule.

This has been a permanent disc in my car for a few weeks now
