I just noticed that Drover is out and Chris Broderick is in on lead.I was wondering if anyone new what happened?.I'm assuming it can't be that bad because his brother is still in the band.

This happened awhile ago. God, I was so relieved. Dover sucks, both him and his suck ass brother (who's still in Megadeth-drums). Supposedly he left to spend more time with his family. Good riddance I say. Broderick is a far better player and will suit Dave just fine. Now if only the drummer would leave....

I must have been sleeping haha.I wasn't very impressed with him either and his wannabe Friedman sound. He played the same shit on just about every solo.Let's hope that Dave lets Chris play to the best of his abilities. One thing about the new Metallica album is that I think it will push Dave to make an even better album.Hopefully he ditches the keyboards and the high vocal harmonies.

Man, you really hate keyboards haha. There's not much keyboard work in Megadeth. At least they don't have a full-time player. It doesn't bother me though. Personally I don't hate keyboards, but I can see why some people don't like them. The problem with the Drover brothers is they aren't good musicians or songwriters. Nothing about them is memorable, other than you'd rather forget you heard their playing.

I said I must have been sleeping, haha! I have been so into Testament I haven't noticed much else.
I just hate keyboards in Metal,I don't mind it in like Pink Floyd or say Dream Theaters first Keyboard player or even the doors. But yes I absolutely hate it in Metal,I have no tolerance for it.It even bothers me in the beginning and end of TFOD especially how it drowns out the lead in the beginning.I just don't see how it's necessary.I would rather hear some bass notes from a Piano if anything. But Megadeth had a keyboard credit on every song on The System, and there is a lot on the new album it's just buried in the back.Which to me makes it have even less sense of why it's there in the first place.I just don't like gay twinkling little sounds mixed with a heavy riff ya know? One thing I do like is the beginning of Overkills Horrorscope. But that's about it..it just bothers me. LOL..still like Megadeth though.

I have to agree about the Drovers they are just kind of there.Although Dave might bare a little responsibility because he controls so much.I read an interview and they said they wanted to write heavier songs for the album but Dave wouldn't let them.Sometimes Dave is a genius and sometimes it works against him, but if you join Megadeth you should be prepared for that I guess.I have no previous experience with the Drovers so Megadeth is all I have to go on.

Mustaine is definitely a control freak. Dave needs to stop thinking about money and chart positions and just write the best songs he can, and everything else will follow after that. Well the guitar player played on House of God by King Diamond. His leads are boring, it sounds like it could be anybody, and you probably know someone who can play better than him. Eidolon or something close to that spelling is the Drovers band. I picked up the last album they did because I wanted to hear what they were capable of, and it's not much. I give them credit for trying, but they should be doing something other than music. The best song on their album was a cover of a Mercyful Fate tune.

Ahh that's right King Diamond. No wonder.Mustaine is funny. He is all over the place.I have never seen him compliment someone without insulting them in the next sentence. He is one of a kind.I wish he could step outside himself once in a while.

Well according to the Megadeth boards, Dave said their will be some Bombastic thrashing on the next record. He said he wanted to prove he can still be a badass, Im looking forward to it since they also have the best guitarist since Marty now.

lol,welcome to 6 months ago...
sorry man,I had to say that.

edit: oh and yes indeed,Shawn isn't really the best drummer ever...Mustaine should fucking bring Menza back already.

I know I know I don't know how I missed it!..but give a break there are so many line up changes in Megadeth.Mustaine tried bringing Menza back before and Menza took himself out because he said he couldn't keep up.Even on the songs he originally played on.It's sucks Menza had some good shit.I have to agree Mustaine says that all the time hopefully Chris will challenge him like Marty did.

There's no doubt about that, Broderick can shred. I just hope Mustaine gives him the chance to go off like Friedman did when he played on Rust in Peace.

I've hoping for that since Rust in Piece. Some shredding like" Rust" that is.
I hope there is some cool Bass on this next album.I know Dave takes credit for all the cool bass parts in
the past. But whether he does or doesn't come up with all of them, there hasn't really been any cool Bass after Dave Ellefson left.

I think Menza can piss off. He left for "fears for his mental health" which would be fair enough if he did have a mental problem but he came back not long after that because he turned out to be alright and then turned round to Dave and said "I'm going to have a breakdown if I carry on with this." And the band weren't even doing anything.

Then he came back in 2004 for six weeks, did a load of press stuff with Dave for The System Has Failed and I can't remember if he played any shows or not but if it was it wasn't many and then basically left again for the same reasons as before.

I don't know who would be a good drummer for Megadeth. Jimmy DeGrasso was pretty good. Dave should maybe ask Vinnie Paul again?
