Honolulu, Hawaii radio host Dave Lawrence last month conducted an interview with MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below. Speaking about his "spirituality," Mustaine said: "See, I think my mentality is very much like island-style, because I think that islanders are very much into spirituality, which is what I'm into. And a lot of people believe that I'm into religion, because I had said that I had become a Christian. So let me just say that religion's for people who are afraid of going to hell, and spirituality's for people like me who've been there. And I say that there's a whole spirit world of stuff that… There's good and bad in everybody and in all things." He continued: "I remember when my wife and I first got married [in Hawaii], we went over to where the royal burial grounds were there and had done some body work and went to the Dragonfly ranch on the Kona and had done some lomilomi [Hawaiian healing practice] and really, really got in touch with the whole island lifestyle. So, yeah, I think that's something that really affects the way that you look at the world. Do you look at it as, is the glass half empty, or half full?" MEGADETH's latest album, "Dystopia", debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 49,000 equivalent album units in the week ending January 28. In terms of pure album sales, "Dystopia" opened with 48,000 copies, marking MEGADETH's highest-charting album since 1992's "Countdown To Extinction" debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the chart dated August 1 of that year. "Dystopia" also logged the group's best sales week since 2007, when "United Abominations" landed at No. 8 with first-week sales of 54,000. In addition to Mustaine, MEGADETH's current lineup includes longtime bassist David Ellefson, LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler and Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with ANGRA.
