Hi guys.
Looking for a Mentor to help me on my quest to become a better Mixing engineer, heard some of your demos and some of them sound very pro. and would like to learn some of this knowledge on top of my basic theroy and skillset.

I'll happily reward this person the best way I can. but for now looking for someone who I can email, and ask questions, and get solid feedback, critiqe of my songs and build scenarios around the ideas of "how to tackle" etc.

Anyone up for the challenge?
(just a side note) recording is expensive, and we used the availabe money to track the parts. - now ive got all the files and trying to mix myself... hard task. and im in no way a pro!. but need gentle guidence.

Send me a PM with email and we can hook up and have a good chat etc! :)

Would be appreciated.

Most of the guys here are working there asses of on projects and have very little time. To get on par, I'd suggest reading some books like the following links. This will help you achieve your goals faster and you'll have for reference for later use. There is a wealth of knowledge here so whatever the issue you're dealing with, just use this search:

As for some helpful books to read, the best I've read and used would be:
[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Mixing-Engineers-Handbook-Second/dp/1598632515/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1329730768&sr=8-7[/ame]
[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Mixing-Audio-Second-Concepts-Practices/dp/0240522222/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329730768&sr=8-1[/ame]
[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Mixing-Secrets-Small-Studio-Senior/dp/0240815807/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1329730768&sr=8-2[/ame]

Then you can always post mixes for feedback in the "rate my mix" section for extra help and guidance. Hope that helps!
