Merry (almost) X-mas

nice thread.

what do i want for christmas?

1. successful back surgery without too many post-op annoyances.

2. a guy who (a) is THE ONE and (b) is not married to someone else.

3. money, but well, that's wishful thinking. :p

I definitely need new underwear and a tie :puke:

Well besides the things everyone wants I need to get a new watch since my old one broke and some smaller things.

Toys. I feel like every typical undergrad trying to recapture their youth. Ok, not really. But I do want Guitar Hero 3 for Wii (THAT ISN'T CODED FOR MONO ONLY - what a joke that was), and a wireless router. One I will get, the other I will not (unless they fix the problem). Ah well. Also, continued health and safety for my family, regardless if we're allowed to want that or not (within the context of this thread).

I want a laptop, a new cell phone (i tested the new LG viewty for free a week ago, and i dont like my old phone anymore).

I want my new closet NOW! (it will only arrive around Jan. 7)

And i want some snowboard vacation, and a complete snowboard equipment.

Money wouldnt be bad either, i would like to travel more.

A friend is selling her apartment. Now THAT (with optional sexy guy to live in it) would make an awesome xmas present to me.

I want that too. And a passport, please!
You know, for the longest period of time I thought having a passport was the most natural thing in the world. I haven't been without one since I was born, and it still amazes me that so many Americans actually don't have one. I can't think of many other first world countries (for lack of better term) where that is the case. Maybe Europeans tend to go abroad a lot more often, though.

Wacken is pretty much dead. It used to be a cool festival when they limited tickets to around 50k. If you want a festival with totally overloaded organisation, handling over 80k people where only 50k were meant to come, with shitty, agressive fans, the same bands that came 2, 4 and 6 years ago.. Wacken is your place. For all the others, who want their money well spent, go look for other alternatives.. I for one am gonna try out the Summer Breeze, or whatever has a nice billing. Wacken went down the shitter tbh

i want snow.

I can ship some over, we got like 6' during this week.
And I'm not even lying that much ;)

I don't really want anything I could get on X-mas, so I'm not
wishing for anything. I definetly don't want more music, I have
so much of my collection un-mp3ed that it's not even funny.

Wacken sucks

Carcass and At The Gates (and I don't give a damn how old the members are, or if they suck now). Now, go away. Maybe you're used to a culture of metal festivals, but I am not. I'd be happy to get to go to just one. Spoiled!

Which brings me to my next point:

I don't have one because my parents couldn't afford to travel, and since I've been responsible for myself, I cannot afford it either. Though I'll admit, you need a passport to get into Canada and Mexico now, that didn't used to be the case (admittedly I never went to either - some of my biggest regrets are that I haven't hardly traveled). Those were pretty common destinations.

If I lived in Europe, I would have one. You need one in Europe. If I needed a passport to go in between states I would have one then as well, and that's the closest comparison I can think of, as countries in Europe are more varied and closer together. Its an interesting point, for sure.

You don't really need one anymore. Now you just need an ID. Which reminds me i have to get one.
