Mesa Rectifier 412 vs Marshall MF280 question

Mesa V30's and Marshall V30's are made in different locations IIRC. I also remember the Mesa V30's being specifically voiced for their cabinets.

If your looking for that Mesa tone, accept no imitations....I learnt this the hard way.

The production moved from England to China. The speakers in the Mf280 are made in England. They are both custom voiced. I guess the cab itself makes the biggest difference... I need to try one :) But i already have 5 Marshall cabs...But that Mesa would fit well under my RevF

The cabinet construction makes the huge difference indeed! I have a Marshall 1960DM and a Mesa OS, both built like tanks but they are absolutely nothing like.

Even something like a Blackstar OS....same size, same wood, V30's....sounds very different in an A/B somebody did recently. Cool to hear the differences though!

Well the Marshall V30s are custom made for Marshall and are 70W where as other V30s are 60W speakers. Did a comparison on this and the Marshall V30s are infact louder than regular V30s. Mesa V30s sound darker. The Stiletto 4x12 cab is awesome and "the cab to have".
