Hi, guys. What the differences between old Mesa Triple Recto (2-ch, 150 watts) and new that's 3-ch, 150 watts? New Recto uses on-PCB tubes placement. Does old one has a vintage "hanged" tube placement? Or(and) some other differences?

from what I have heard playing both and also hear rumered out here on the mighty internet, the big difference is in the preamp sections of these amps. the older amps do not have as much gain in them but seem to be a bit smoother overall in their sound. the three chanel models are more flexable with all of the chanels and tones available, BUT they do sound a bit buzzy"er" and feel stiffer to me than the oldies. I like my two chanel and bought it on purpose. try and get your hands on both of them to do a side by side tasters choice tastes test!
