Met Russell Allen @ James LaBrie show

Hey there everyone,

This is my first time posting here. I am a big fan of Symphony X. I saw them last year with Queensryche and a year or so earlier with Blind Guardian. Anyways, I got a cool picture with Russell at the James Labrie show at Starland Ballroom the other night. I also got a cool picture with Mike Portnoy. I'm not a fan of Labrie's solo stuff, but I bet that show was AWESOME!

Anybody else find it sort of funny that the guitarist is using the MusicMan John Petrucci model?

Hey all,

The turn-out for the James LaBrie show was pretty low. James played a great set. He did songs from his new cd, "Elements of Persuasion," as well as stuff from Mulmuzzler. He didn't to any Dream Theater songs.

Mike Portnoy does look a bit stones or something in the picture, HAHA!

I saw Russell talking to my friends in the opening band so I went up to him and got a quick picture with him before he left. He told me that the peeps from Inside Out Music were at the show and they gave him an official copy of his solo cd, Atomic Soul. He showed me the cover and a bit of the inside booklet. It looks really cool, can't wait to get it in a few weeks.
