WRUST
" WRUST, an extreme/death metal band in Botswana (Africa) formally known as Rust was formed in the winter of 2000. Between the year 2000 and 2002, Wrust went through rigorously line-up change, the only constant being Stux, the founder member. It has gone through numerous guitarists, vocalists, bassist's and drummers. Wrust has gigged alongside another local band Metal Orizon since its formation.
The band reached stability when Master (drummer) was recruited mid 2002. At that time it was a three-piece band with Stux on guitars/vocals and SBond on bass. When BG, former guitarist of War-tog (metal band in the Portsmouth, UK) joined Wrust towards the end of 2002, the bands face would change. Being a four-piece now, the band wrote and rewrote more brutal songs.

Most significantly we have played in an annual event called Rock Against Aids which raises funds for orphans whom are victims of Aids. The event also attracts bands from South Africa as well. Wrust recorded a demo CD mid 2003 dubbed Mirth of sorrow. We have been involved in battle of bands in South Africa. [/font]
