I liked Wayne and Vanderhoof... but my god Marshall and Howe are fucking epic.

Howe should still sing... I mean... what the fuck?! I love this shit... just being drunk, jamming The Human Factor. Its soooooo good!

They got great albums, specially the early ones with Wayne.

My band supported Metal Church in 1999. It was an amazing show.

I remember the promoter didn't gave us dinner, so we were very hungry.
We met Wayne in the corridors of the backstages and had a very interesting chat. When he realized we hand't nothing to eat, he came out with their leftovers and we ate it like hyenas. haha!

He was very nice guy... a pity he died...:waah:

Yeah that sucks he died, man. Thats def cool you got to work with him in some degree though. The band's so underrated its absurd.

got my attention! tractor beam - zzzzzchhhhhppp - pulled me right in.

the dark was one of my first metal albums. start the fire was one of the first tunes I learned on guitar. I got a big soft spot for 'em! kinda lost me after the human factor, but word on the street is, hanging in the balance isn't as bad as the album art would suggest. who woulda thunk?!

my favorite vocal line: "and I know we're go-ing, so far away from this wretched life we lead...."

I love metal church!! I remeber the first time I listen to metal church and The dark albums, it was fucking love!!! IMO they riffs are modern, try to image theyr debut album with detuned guitars and some sneap sound.....that woul be amazing!

Too bad they threw in the towel, but there's hardly any audience for that sort of US-Power/Heavy Metal any more... especially in the US self, ironically.

Another vote for an awesome band. As I said in another thread they were one of the shows that I saw at my favorite place to see live shows. The self titled first album, "The Dark" and "Blessing in Disguise" are my favorites from them. Kurt Vanderhoof wrote some great riffs.

I'm surprised there's not more love for The Human Factor. It was a nice continuation of Blessing In Disguise, and the guitar tuning to kick off the album was genius!

Yeah dude I think Human Factor's my fave album of theirs, TBH

I was just jammin to Live at Dynamo dvd the other day..

Beyond the Black....Howe owns that song:rock: Whatever happened to Mike Howe? It would be so cool to get the Blessing in Disguise line up:kickass:
Although, Kirk Arrington might be a challange for him becuase of his diabetes:(

Whatever happened to Mike Howe?

Mike Howe retired and now lives in Tennessee with his family if I recall. Have no idea what he does these days, but it's not music as far as I know. Shame really - he was a good singer.
