So all this week I have been listening to the Metal Church Album The Human Factor. I had always liked this album and upon listening to it again after a long time, I REALLY like it.

It was a departure from the older material, but really really well done as opposed to the album after that ( hanging in the balance ).

Good production, great riffs, excellent songwriting and of course Mike Howe's awesome vocals. Anyone know what happened to him?

I agree with you! Human Factor is a very good album! As is Hanging In The Balance! Mike Howe's vocals were Great!

My favorite Metal Church album is still Blessing In Desguise though!

I had the chance to see them on the Blessing in Disguise tour, what a great show that was. The band was amazing, Mike's voice ruled all.

... I "heard" them when they opened for Metallica in my hometown... I was 6 and I was sitting in the parking lot because no one at home wanted to take me :(

I still haven't heard Factor. How's it compare to Balance? Cause that's one of my favorite Metal Church albums–underrated as fuck, with some amazing songs like "Waiting For A Savior," "End of An Age," and "Little Boy."

Comparing Factor to Balance:
Well, one thing for sure is that Human Factor is a bit heavier and a bit les experimental. I think the Human Factor is the perfect album to go between Blessing and Balance because it's a breed of the two really...

Mike Howe sings like a semi-god. The riffs are very straight forward but there are some very cool bridges or transition that really stand out. I think you'll love the album Pyrus!

I agree, Human Factor works really well.

One of the things I like is that although the riffs are not overly complex there are some cool layering of parts. They just did a great job on this CD.

I personally find Human Factor superior to Hanging in the Balance.

Back when this album came out I ran their European fan club for Metal Church for Blackheart Records. It did not last long! :erk: To answer your question, when I knew him he lived in Malibu, CA but I have heard he now resides in TN with his wife and child. I guess he turned into a family man. I love the album as well. :D ~Alison

mike howe is shit compared to davey wayne...he (mh) is a one dimensional singer..., and he is crap in the melodic parts...anyway AGENT GREEN IS my favourite of the cd.
