Metal drum verb

One of the best you can get for this purpose is Freeverb 2. No shit, I still use this thing often. It has a nice, dense, somewhat linear and nasty sound like the verbs Andy uses and it can work great in metal mixes. Not many options, so easy to dial.

Beyond that for $$ I use Breverb (2nd best) and SIR 2 with Halls of Fame (the best).

When I used CSR, I absolutely hated it.

Nice.. Can you post some screenshots of the settings and impulses you like to use. It can be a pain in the ass to adjust from the plug ins default presets

Now you're just being lazy

but besides that obvious fact ... Freeverb 2 is actually pretty badass and I also seem to be digging ArtsAcoustic Reverb. Had that one for a little while now and never got too worked up on it but now that I'm getting better with setting my verbs because I EXPERIMENTED WITH IT (take the hint) its one of my go-to plugs for drums & vocals

i use RVERB most of the time, sometimes i'll try a convolution reverb and then realize, wow this has a lot of low end ew, and take it off.

for everythin else. i literally just end up using nuendo's "REVERB A"

HAHA!

seriously though....

Freeverb must is the next to try in my list, used to use it, but it fucked up my pro tools sessions. Gonna give it a try in pro tools 8.

Any evil out of the box settings for the snare and toms?

Dude, holy shit ... do you really have no idea how to set reverb and use your ears or are you really just this lazy? Its the 3rd time you've asked for screenshots and presets

If you don't know how to use reverb, thats fine but just say it and ask for the help. Everyone is willing and happy to give you good starting tips and pointers on how to set reverb for different things but you're just looking for people's magic setting so you don't have to do anything. There is no magic setting, only understanding

You've been given a list of a bunch of verbs that are especially useful for the sound you are trying to get, start doing some work. If after a while you can't seem to get it, post a sample and we can give you our opinions on what you may want to try
