Metal Mastication, the only heavy metal interview show set in the kitchen, has reached the quarter-finals of Food Network’s Favorite Chef 2025 Competition. With eight episodes on their YouTube channel, 10 more in the can and a Social Media following across all platforms approaching 7,000 followers, they are making a name for themselves in the Metal and Foodie communities. The host, Brett Hoag, brings years of cooking and interviewing skills and a plethora of heavy metal and musical knowledge.

This charity means a lot to me, as it was James Beard and my Father who started me on my culinary journey. I still use the James Beard Cookbook, my dad got as a wedding present from his parents in 1963, at least monthly.
“Making the quarter-finals of this competition means we have rallied the metal and foodie communities behind us. We support them by offering signed swag from our guests and our own swag for choosing fan questions. Winning this would allow Metal Mastication to make a bigger impact in both the Metal and Foodie communities.
