I am really, really tired of downloading MP3s because most people's recommendations turn out to be random. So, I've started listening to metal radio.
Most shows are terrible because they either play exactly what the labels send them (nu-metal-influenced garbage) or try to be so underground they forget about musical quality.
I've found one, Metalenema, that's pretty good. I'd recommend Show #7 - "Stray Porn", Show #6 - "Cheese Steak" and Show #5 - "God Bless America... Or We'll Kill Him more than the others. The DJs are funny and respect nothing. They are not politically correct, nor are they friendly to the conservative nutcases of America. I'd listen to more of these.
The only other station I really liked was KCUF radio's death metal and black metal radio shows. They were pretty good, but less joky and more blasphemous/mystical. They nail the classics and have better playlists than metalenema however.
Any others I'm missing -- really quality metal radio, not every or any metal station out there? There's no shortage of metal radio, but good metal radio is hard to find.
