Welcome aboard!
If you like metal, I like you.

Good choice of tunes you're listening to. (Annihilator)

Here are some bands I listen to, and would recommend checking out, if you have'nt already.

No need to put Nevermore, after all, they are the greatest band of all!
Arch Enemy
Pantera
Megadeth
Opeth
Children of Bodom
Flotsam & Jetsam
Dream Theater
Testament
Dokken
Judas Priest (Painkiller, and before)
Metallica (older stuff)
Kreator
Sentenced

and yes, I also dig Overkill. I like "I Hear Black" the best.

Cool. The old stuff rules !! Seeing as your are into that maybe you might like to check out the MP3´s I have online at www.metalgospel.com (under hymnals). This is what we have online until Friday (tomorrow):

DARK ANGEL / 'Welcome To The Slaughterhouse' - California Thrash ! This song was their first vinyl appearance on Metal Massacre VI CompilationLP (1985). A year later they would put out "DARKNESS DESCENDS" THE Thrash album.

--------------------------------------------------
DEATH / 'Beyond The Unholy Grave' - Taken from Speed Kills III CompilationLP (1987). The first version of this was on Chuck´s very first demo (MANTAS - Death By Metal - 1984). It was rerecorded in the "Scream Bloody Gore" sessions but for some reason is not on the vinyl. Years later it appeared on the original CD version of "Scream Bloody Gore" but is not on the CM re release of that album. It rules.

--------------------------------------------------
HALLOW´S EVE / 'Plunging To Megadeath' - Another band that debuted on Metal Massacre VI are these guys from Atlanta, GA. They recorded three albums for Metal Blade and then sadly faded away. Taken from Tales Of Terror LP (1985).

--------------------------------------------------
RAZOR / 'Evil Invaders' - One of the first Thrash bands from Northern Amerika are these guys from Guelph, Ontario. Still not officially found on cd so bear with a few crackles. Taken from Evil Invaders LP (1985).

--------------------------------------------------
ANGEL OF DEATH / 'Satan´s Crusade' - Aussie Thrash/Black band. Very rare album. Taken from House Of Death LP (1988).

--------------------------------------------------
SOOTHSAYER / 'Death Radiation' - Franco Canadian band that released a shitty Punk album after this brilliant Demo entitled To Be A Real Terrorist (1987).

--------------------------------------------------
MUTILATOR / 'Believers Of Hell' - Brazilian band from Belo Horizonte. SEPULTURA used their equipment to record their first albums but unfortunately these guys never made it anywhere. Taken from Warfare Noise I CompilationLP(1986).

--------------------------------------------------
LIVING DEATH / 'Child Of Illusion' - Isn´t that a contradiction in terms ?? Nonetheless this band from Germany knows how to Thrash ! Taken from Back To The Weapons MiniLP(1986).

--------------------------------------------------
WHIPLASH / 'The Burning Of Atlanta' - New York Thrash ! This song is one of the most brilliant Thrash songs EVER ! Taken from Ticket To Mayhem LP (1987).

--------------------------------------------------
MACE / 'Gutripper' - Seattle, WA band that fence sits the Thrash / Hardcore boundaries. Very humorous song that is if you like gorey humour. Taken from The Evil In Good LP (1986).

--------------------------------------------------
VIOLENT FORCE / 'Sign Of Evil' - Another German band that never made it anywhere after their debut album: M.A.O.T LP (1987). To Hell with Roadrunner !

--------------------------------------------------
MASTER / 'Master' - This is Paul Speckman. Recorded back in 86, this was finally released in 90, nevertheless, MASTER was probably the FIRST Death Metal band in North America. Taken from Master LP (1986).

--------------------------------------------------
ABATTOIR / 'Screams From The Grave' - California Speed Metal features half of the first AGENT STEEL line up. Taken from Vicous Attack LP (1985).

--------------------------------------------------
MASSACRE / 'From Beyond' - Have you ever wondered what the people Chuck used to record MANTAS demos with were doing later ? MASSACRE were the first band to do the Death growl back in 85. Taken from From Beyond LP (1987).

--------------------------------------------------
SADUS / 'Kill Team' - Otherwise unreleased track from the SADUS demo times. Compare the speed and aggression of this to what they do now and weep... Taken from Raging Death CompilationLP (1987).

--------------------------------------------------
NASTY SAVAGE / 'XXX' - Yet another take from Metal Massacre VI. Evil Chuck used to sleep in their t-shirts. Taken from Metal Massacre VI CompilationLP (1985).

--------------------------------------------------
MORSÜRE / 'No Moral' - French band that was universally hated by the media and consequently never made it anywhere after this album. Too bad I think but listen for yourself. Taken from Acceleration Process LP (1985).

--------------------------------------------------
GARGOYLE / 'Burning Marrow' - New Jersey band that should have been Gods of Thrash. Unfortunately they never got beyond this second demo. Taken from Violence Is Golden Demo (1986).

--------------------------------------------------
CARNIVORE / 'Sex And Violence' - Thrash Classic !! One of my favourite songs. Listen to TYPE O NEGATIVE now and weep. Taken from Retalliation LP (1987).

Ah, another Overkill fan. I like The Years of Decay the best. Horrorscope, Bloodletting, and WFO are also excellent. Hmmm....I'll give you a short list of cool thrash bands to check out:

Forbidden
Watchtower
Sadus
Testament
Defiance
Sacred Reich
Flotsam and Jetsam
Gracepoint (look on http://www.mp3.com)
Manifest Destiny (on mp3.com, they're the one from Oklahoma City)
Iced Earth

I'm sure you've probably heard of most of those, but if not, then they're worth looking into.

Later.
