Metalcore band i'm recording.

We haven't gotten around to recording vocals yet, so this is an instrumental mix.

I've been working on this all day and my ears are dying, any advice is much appreciated.

Agreed OH bringing up and I think the snare could come up a bit in the middle slower bit from 2:10. Apart from that i think it sounds excellent.

Also, what do you guys think about the bass tone ? Did i distort the high end too much ?

Good mix. I agree with the OH's. I also agree with xplanet2112 about the snare - but I think the snare could come up a bit in general, also add a bit of crack to it as well. I think the bass sounds good. I'm not a big fan of the type of reverb you have on the snare at :47 and :50. Sounds too dark for my taste. Awesome mix otherwise. Reminds me of TDWP in some parts. What did you use for guitars? Real amp or sim?

The guitars are pretty obviously POD. I'm not even post-processing them much.

Now-a-days amp sims are getting so advanced they are very comparable.
