If it was old Metallica, that'd be cool. But, if it's the same boring new Metallica, it sparks no interest to me. However, Maiden would still be cool!

Regardless of the era.... Metallica has always been a great live act...
Now it is time for them to prove Bruce wrong... Bruce said that Maiden was better than Metallica (which they are)...
I think a little competition brings out the quality... so I'd be interested

Metallica needs to find someone as much like Cliff Burton as possible and let him be a creative influence that has been much needed for awhile. I'm not disrespecting Newstead at all. I have seen Metallica with both Cliff and Jason and think Newstead was really good. You just couldn't beat Cliff's style and influence in the band.
