Metallica and studio monitors

Is it just me or does the Hett look like a punk-ass greaser kid?

I can't tell if your being sarcastic or not :erk:

No I wasn't sarcastic, it was really funny, I mean I love that trashcan snare ahahah ;)
Lars always had a great sound, these days he has that shitty sound :(
I miss the old days of huge sound, if you have the chance to watch the monsters of rock in moscow, in that live he has the SAME sound of the black album, I couldn't believe my hears when I heard it, same fucking snare sound.
Please guys help me to have that sound

Sample it.

I got that sample, I sampled it from the black album, but I want to amke my own samples.
the thing is: what should I need? I want to get a sound as fat as that snare
6.5'' snare?
Brass material?

with my 5.5'' wood snare I can't get it to sound so big and fat, I don't care to have the same sound anyway, just to make my snare samples bigger and full.

cheers

who cares about you?

So what?

I'll admit- I'll listen to whatever their next release is for the tones and production alone. I don't have high hopes for the songs, but as long as it's not recorded and mixed St. Anger style, I'm sure it'll sound immaculate.

In the recent photos of them I've seen, James is using two Krankensteins and Kirk is using a Mesa Stiletto.

"So what, so what
So what, so what, you boring little cunt

Well, who cares, who cares what you do
Yeah, who cares, who cares about you, you, you, you, you"

good cover ahahahah

Live they still use boogie rectifiers.
I really hope for a good record, but you know I don't expect anything good since the black album, which I loved so much.
Fuck! that '92 live in moscow hurted me a lot! :( I want another fucking killer record.

You'll need years and years of experience recording drums to come anywhere close to getting a sound like that on your own. And then there's no guarantee that you'll be anywhere as good as BR...
