METALLICA has posted several photos online from its Wednesday night (October 12) video shoot in Oakland, California. The band issued a casting call last week for multiple roles of all ethnicities, including cheering fans and individuals able to "engage in lightly choreographed fighting." The group still has yet to reveal what song the video was produced for, but several people attending the shoot reveaed that the track in question is "Halo On Fire". The song in question is taken from METALLICA's tenth studio album, "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct", which is scheduled for a November 18 release. The long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic" consists of two discs, containing a dozen songs and nearly 80 minutes of music. With eight years being the longest gap ever between albums, The Pulse Of Radio asked drummer Lars Ulrich how the band knows when it's time to record new music. "There's a lot of factors that play into that," he said. "I mean, the two obvious ones are basically the world is a busier place to tour, there's more places to play than there was 20 or 25 or 30 years ago. And then obviously as you advance in age and, you know, still find a way to stand up straight most of the time, you obviously need more chill time, which obviously then means that it just takes longer." The deluxe version of the album will feature a bonus disc containing a number of cover songs that the band has recorded over the past few years, as well as a live set recorded at Rasputin's in Berkeley, California on Record Store Day 2016 and a live version of the new song "Hardwired" recorded at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. METALLICA will next appear at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, California on October 22 and October 23.
