METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich was interviewed on last week's edition of BBC Radio 1's "Rock Show" with Daniel P. Carter. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.METALLICA broke through another barrier this past weekend by becoming the first and only band in history to perform concerts on all seven continents in the same year. This past Sunday, December 8, the multi-platinum, award-winning band brought their live show to Antarctica and performed at a site near the heliport at Carlini Argentine Base, making them the only foreign band to play on the continent. The historic concert was heard by the fans through headphones, with no other amplifiers or sound system. Fans from several Latin and South American countries had a chance to enter a contest and win the opportunity to join the band on the expedition. The gig was also live-streamed in the participating countries. On the video, METALLICA frontman James Hetfield calls the show "the most memorable concert in METALLICA history."A statement posted on METALLICA's Facebook page after the gig called it "the most unique show METALLICA has ever done . . . The energy in the little dome was amazing! Words cannot describe how happy everyone was."
