He's mostly known for his pop and Latin mixes I guess, but he happened to be the mixer of one of the IMHO best sounding (heavy) rock albums there are: Hurt -Volume 1.

Yeah really likes the album, the mix I thought was pretty good too.

Yeah, I mean the streaming videos don't really do it justice, but one gets an idea.

Gotta admit I haven't even heard Vol. II yet, because I'm that stuck on listening to Vol. I. Shall rectify that soon.

But I've heard that mixing Vol. II almost ended up in a disaster...

I have this CD and the mix is great but there is so much clipping.

Yeah, that's something I really love about the mix, the dynamics. Also quite possibly some of my favourite vocal sounds and performances. Drums sound very natural, too.

Didn't really notice the clipping that much so far.
