Hey guys,

I can remember quite some threads were people asked for ideas to use smartphones or tablets
to control their DAW - seems like Microsoft wants to help you guys ;)

Microsoft released an App that lets you control your Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 from your Android or iOS
smartphone/tablet, it seems to be even able to understand all Windows 8 gestures.

For iOS:

For Android:

And the official "Getting started"-guide:

Sweet! So can it be used as a second touch-screen monitor, like with Air Display, or is it purely for remotely accessing your computer? If this works like Air Display, and they release it to Windows RT, I might actually find a substantial use for buying a Surface RT... Hmmmm....

OK, I don't get it. How do you make the phone-PC connection? Like through net, cable, bluetooth?
