i actually am not really into I, i really love "nothing" but there's something just not quite as good about I....maybe i just need to listen more and let it grow on me. and of course "contradictions collapse" is a fucking classic :kickass:

I like -I-. Not as good as CC or DEI though.
Hope Meshuggah come out with -33- soon. Any word?

(from metalstorm)
"However, despite reports from the group's record label, Nuclear Blast Records, that the band's next full-length album, "Catch 33", would arrive around November 8, MESHUGGAH are insisting that "all rumors" about release dates for the CD are "bull"."

the official meshuggah website does have it listed as a 2004 release though, i expect we'll see it by the end of the year!

Interesting how many artists listen to music that is quite different from their own music... seems like that happens a lot.

Heart is the american classic/hard rock band with the 2 sisters in it. Some of their notable good songs are: Crazy On You, Barracuda, Dreamboat Annie, Magic Man, etc... most people have probably heard them somewhere along the line. Very good band though, actually pretty innovative and well written material, catchy too. I recommend the albums: Dream Boat Annie, Dog And Butterfly, Magazine, and Little Queen.

Pete and Piblokto is also a great progressive rock band from the 70s, some good stuff on those albums..

Porcupine tree - recordings is a very good release to own for any PT fan as well, that should be a no brainer...

Fleetwood Mac, is also a legendary classic rock band featuring the female vocal stylings of Stevie Nicks...very unique and beautiful, as well as the criminally underrated guitar work of Lindsay Buckingham...most people here are probably a little familiar with them at some point. Recommended albums: Self Titled, Rumours, Tusk, Tango In The Night, Then play on, etc

And as for Joni Mitchell, who is one of my all time favorites artists, and probably my favorite female artist...she is fantastic. Folk artist from the late 60s to the present...has a very large body of work, and just about every album up to the 80s is great, as well as her recent album "both sides now". My favorite album of hers is: Hissing Of Summer Lawns, probably her most experimental and challenging work. Some other obvious favorite albums are: Clouds, Hjiera, Blue, Court And Spark, Ladies Of The Canyon, For The Roses, etc.

And as for the rest of the bands, it seems like most have heard them already... happy hunting for those who are interested. ;)
