Mike Howe has passed away.

I'm in total shock.

One of the best voices of metal died today (cause still unknown), and he was my age

May he rest in peace.

I may not be a MC fan these days but back in the day he was a brilliant singer.

This news hit me like a freight train when I learned of it. I am a huge fan of both Metal Church as a whole and of Mike Howe's vocals. I'm working on a kind of tribute article with my Cassette Chronicles series that will be up on August 12th. I'm lucky to have been able to meet him twice. Once in 1989 and then in 2019.
