More artists have been added to the upcoming benefit concert in memory of late SOUNDGARDEN and AUDIOSLAVE frontman Chris Cornell. Billed as "I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell", the event will take place at the Forum in Los Angeles on January 16. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the show will feature performances from FOO FIGHTERS and METALLICA, as well as appearances from Cornell's former bandmates in SOUNDGARDEN, AUDIOSLAVE, TEMPLE OF THE DOG and more. Fiona Apple, Brandi Carlile, Josh Homme, Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine, Ziggy Marley, Miguel, Taylor Momsen, Chris Stapleton and other special guests will join the star-studded concert event honoring Cornell's legacy and contribution to music history. Each artist has curated their own performance to honor Chris in this epic night of music that will take fans on an unforgettable journey through Chris's legendary career and catalog. The show is presented by Chris's family and closest friends. It will be produced by Joel Gallen. Proceeds from the show will benefit the the Chris And Vicky Cornell Foundation as well as the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF). Cornell was pronounced dead on May 18, 2017 after being found unresponsive in his Detroit hotel room. SOUNDGARDEN had played a show earlier that evening. The 52-year-old had sedatives and an anxiety drug in his system, but died as a result of hanging himself. The host committee for the concert includes Vicky Cornell, Tom Morello, Matt Cameron, Brad Pitt, Josh and Kathryn Brolin, Jimmy Kimmel, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Courteney Cox, David Spade, John Carter Cash, Linda Ramone and many others. Each ticket purchased online for the tribute concert will include a copy of Cornell's self-titled career retrospective album, which came out in November.
