MindMaze - traditional prog metal with female vocals

Here's a band that some of you here might enjoy. MindMaze is a US band playing Dream Theater-style progressive metal with female vocals.

Despite not hearing the Dream Theater comparison on that particular track, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll have to check out a few more clips.

The DT comparison is more on the general prog metal vibe the album has versus the truly progressive approach that say Leprous has. Safe, but totally solid, and I love that the vocalist gets the difference between singing and shouting.

Hey, I think progressive metal is great. It's just that my big prog phase ended about ten years ago. I still like some old favorites, and the more innovative new bands (i.e. The Deadstation, Leprous, The Reticent, Fallen Martyr), but these days I mostly look for things that sound like Journey, Saxon and/or Dokken.
