By "emo", I mean the 1980's hardcore offshoot, not the shitty mainstream crap that you may perceive as emo.
That said, I have a question that's been bouncing around in my head for awhile. Though Minor Threat isn't widely considered as being in the same vein as seminal emo bands like Rites of Spring, Fugazi, etc. I was wondering how many of you consider them to be, as their lyrics were often of an emotional/introspective nature and their sound was similar to the aforementioned groups.
