Misfits vs. Samhain vs. Danzig

Which is your favorite Glenn Danzig project?
Why and Why not?

Well, I'd say Danzig is my favorite because it's metal, but The Misfits is great fun stuff. Haven't heard Samhain yet.

samhain was teh rawk, but only the first 2 albums... same thing with danzig, 2-4 were great but he's kinda fallen off... so i guess it's the misfits, since they never produced any obvious blemishes...

I don't like Danzig or Samhain but I used to listen to the Misfits all the time.

Samhain and Danzig are really good, especially early Danzig but you can't beat the Misfits. Best punk band ever, there have been so many copy cats who can't even come close to the Misfits.

Danzig (I - 4) > Samhain > Danzig (5 - Circle of Snakes) > Misfits

I probably do enjoy some misfits songs better than Danzig's post-4 albums, but, not really the kind of style I can stand to listen to that much.

Danzig II and 4p are tied for my favorite

Misfits > Danzig > Samhain.

Misfits w/Glenn was orgasmic, huge huge fan. Danzig is quite awesome too, though after the 4th album things kinda took a wee-dip. Never heard Samhain so yeah. I also liked the American Psycho/Famous Monsters albums. I mean hell, Michael said so himself he's not trying to duplicate Glenn's vocals and that'd it be something new and he was right.

That and I was first introduced to Misfits via Famous Monsters, so I wasn't a purist from the 80's pissed off at its re-encarnation. But yes, I find Michaels vocals very smooth and really joined both those albums.

That being said, The 'Misfits' that are being paraded around now are disgraceful. Jerry Only's position is very similar to Axl Rose w/Guns'N'Roses. Just change the name and run w/it. Don't drag down the G'N'R/Misfits name with you.

Oh, and I see Danzig live September 10th. Cannot fucking wait!!!

Misfits all the way! I even like the post-Danzig stuff. All of it is just fun, catchy stuff. Samhain rocked, loved their shit. I think all of Danzig's solo stuff has something to offer, but his first 3 were the best IMO

Misfits really up to Famous Monster yes i liked that cd along with American
Psycho. Danzig up to 4 probably his biggest mistake is letting Chuck Biscuits,
Eeerie Von and Jon Christ quit the band imo that was Danzig not the egomaniacal midget that was there vocalist (i know i met the prick).
Samhain all of thier material was good to me i can't believe how many
black metal musicians think of this band as an inspiration ask Marduk.
