Hi folks,

i just did a cover of Obituary's "Redneck Stomp" and thought I could share the stems with you. Since this is an instrumental oldschool death metal song it only features 2 guitar + 1 bass DIs as well as the drum MIDIs. The tempo map is embedded into the MIDI file. Mapping is General MIDI (Ezdrummer/Superior Drummer). This should be easy, guys !

My reference mix:

Have fun !

@ajleddx17: Guitars and bass are fine, but the kick could use more low-end and the snare lacks attack and body ! Also check the toms, some frequencies in the midrange are too resonant ! :)
@akarawd: The drums are fuckin' MASSIVE ! But the guitars are way too scooped for my taste :(
@dado_cool13: The mix is overall a bit thin, whereas the bass is too loud ! Double check your mix on headphones :) Bass is a huge problem when mixing with smaller studio monitors, I know the struggle :/
@RaNk: The guitars are reaaally nice, but overall the mix lacks punch (especially the drums) :(

So these are just some hints, maybe they can help you to improve your mixes in the future. And please don't be offended by my criticism, you all did a great job ! :)
