Mixosaurus Expert Virtual Drum

2.6GB DEMO? :OMG:

MIXOSAURUS DAW Drums
KIT A Demo Installation
(Zip Archive, 2.6 GB)

This MIXOSAURUS demo installation features KIT A's Light Ride Cymbal and the 10" Tom. You can use it with Native Instruments' KONTAKT 3.5 or KONTAKT PLAYER 3 software to experience the musical and dynamic feel of MIXOSAURUS instruments as well as their comprehensive and creative mixing options.

Considering how fucking much you get samples, the 539€ pricetag is actually quite reasonable, thats like 4.42€ per gigabyte.

I listened to a few of the demos. The cymbals are especially impressive, and the toms sound pretty good too.

edit:

There are some great sounding pop/jazz snares in there!

Thats what i heard and got stunned, now i'm on to try some kicks and snares, which i believe is its weak point especially to those on metal style.

thats because those samples in the site are meant to show how realistic the drums sound, and you should know that the real drums just don't sound nearly as clicky as you hear on pantera albums :heh: but I can guess that with some abuse you can make them sound more like metal. Try it out yourself:

Hehe yeah, real and natural drums sound a heeeeeeeeeeell lot different than a Pantera album :p

I tried out the demo and the cymbals are indeed excellent. However it's not really worth it to me since I would be replacing the drums with other samples. I'll stick with TMF (also excellent sounding cymbals) and Slate for now.

Sounds good - I've already bought into the current Ocean Way Drums group buy going on and think that eventually I'll upgrade that to the Silver or Gold edition. There are just so many options for drums out there - many not that great, but a few that really are very good sounding.

thx for the feedback guys

yep if sample replace for kick and snare is the way there's no need to spend 600 €
