Besides the Guitar Chapter and the Guitar Player thing? no..

guitar player thing? is that that classical tapping thing he does like uber fast?

where he's like "here it is at 70... now 100... now a 'little' faster at 170"

yep, of course he may have some articles in like Young Guitar or something, you know, those japan only guitar mags, since they did print (crappy) song books over there as well. But who knows, we don't get them over here. :(

It was guitar world actually.

I could understand MJR not thinking about a dvd right now cause of the new album and then tour coming up. But really, he is a god on guitar. Im sure alot of people would die to see a video from him....

and steve vai....

and satch....

o well...

I would agree with you to a point War Blade, I think a lot of us would have liked Satch to put out a Video about 15 years ago.. hes missed the boat quite frankly.. technically there isnt a whole lot he could demonstrate now. Everyones caught up with what he's done, and quite frankly he doesnt deviate from that on his last few releases. We all owe him a debt in some way though just for bringing guitar instrumentalists and guitar playing in general a bit more to the general public. First instrumental guitarist to break the top 40 on Billboard with "Satch Boogie".

Vai is just incredible.. but what he does on stage and so forth is just un-teachable.. his passion , guitar technique and theatrics I dont think are compliant with an instructional video. The last thing I want to hear are 1.5 billion versions of "For The Love of God" being butchered.

We all have to learn somewhere. It isn't like vai picked up the guitar for the first time and just started shredding away. Im sure he butchered quite a few songs when he was learning. I don't see anything wrong with people trying to learn his stuff.

Ehh, guitar world, guitar player, same shitty ass magazines...I mean seriously does anyone on here actually buy these on a regular basis or have a subscription? I doubt it. there pritty much 4 pages of ads for every like 1/4 page of actual subjects of interest. And most of the ads arn't even cool any more, not like back in the 80's when every other ad had Paul Gilbert standing next to his stacks of ADA gear:rock: . I wish they had ad's like Scientific American, I swear one of these days I am going to build my own solar powered geodesic dome and live out in the desert with my hand built amphibious 6x6 which is actually powered by a weedwacker engine which was converted to run off of canola oil.

and im gonna build a time machine and travel back to LA in the 80s!!!

and no i dont subscribe to the magizine. Once in a while my dad picks me up a copy at the bookstore but that is about it. The best issue i have is one on randy roads. Just cause it tabs out cliffs of dover though...

actually the first thing vai ever did with a guitar in his hand was play "building the church"...

he assumed it must be horrible because it was the first thing he ever did and thus we didn't hear it for so long.
