Modern death metal mix

I've almost finished mixing this band. What do you think about this mix? What should I change? I would really appreciate any advice.

Great compositions. I think it is more in an old school way, but if you call it modern, let's say modern.
It's not very well mixed. I would say every instrument, every track, is buried. But it depends in the kind of sound you are searching for.

yeah there's something really "buried" about everything, probably too much reverb (specially on the machine gun-ish snare), cymbals way too low and lifeless, snare has way too much body, kick has good low end but lacks presence, guitars are barely heard under the drums. And it definitely sounds much more old school than modern death metal, but it's still cool.

I actually dig both mixes... But once gain, depends on the sound you're going for. Guitars in the second one seem to have more mids in them. It takes a bit of the deathy feel out of them.

I don't know how to give guitars more presence in the mix. For example, as in this song: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiudGR6ZZMI&feature=related[/ame] Any ideas? I'm using an amp simulator and impulses in this mix.

in the second clip I could hear even less cymbals, and there was more mid to the guitars which wasn´t quite fitting. The last version is better, the guitars are good, but the bass is lacking and the snare and kick sound way too bumpy/middy and cymbals too low. Still, not bad, but it could be improved

the guitars sound the best in 0052. you went a bit too far with 0218

Thanks! I've thought certain things over. Here is the new version:
1. I've changed the sound of the kick drum
2. I've changed the guitar sound as well
3. The relation between the bass guitar and the kick drum has been modified. Now the kick drum is boosted at about 62 hz and the bass has its space at about 85. Before it was the other way round.

I think it was pretty well mixed for a more "oldschool death metal" sound. Just my opinion though.
