Ok, before the inevitable calls for Nicko, who here thinks Portnoy deserved it over Carey?

I agree with Portnoy over Carey, until I just looked it up, I didn't even know the name of Tool's drummer. I assume Neil Peart is already in the hall of fame.

Mike Portnoy is an amazing drummer and Dream Theater are sadly underrated here in the UK.

Um Peart was the 5th person ever inducted, in 1983. Krupa, Rich, Bonzo and Moon, then Neil. He was 32 at the time, the youngest drummer ever.

Carey is probably the best one not in the HoF. Virgil Donati is debatable.
