As far as I'm concerned, NONE of these guys claiming to be the fastest in the world can legitimately play faster than Shawn Lane.
Shawn Lane was accurately hitting 18 notes per second (key word, accurately) and every time I see videos of anyone trying to play faster, it's always slop, and until you can hit all the notes, then you're not really hitting 20+ notes per second are you?
Shawn Lane was wired different to the rest of us and chances are we are unlikely to come across someone else who could play at such warp speeds with the accuracy he did
