Fringe Pop (June 9-19th) http://montrealfringe.ca
Boatloads of music, dance, performance and other stuff for a very intense week. Lots of free shows

Mutek (June 1st to 6th) http://www.mutek.ca
Music, sounds and new technologies. Electronic music in all its forms. Final programmation set this week.

Pop Montreal (sept 28 to Oct 2) http://www.popmontreal.com
Little info on bands for this year but knowing the organizers it should be pretty classic this year too.


Montreal Electronic Groove (sometimes in October) http://www.megmontreal.com/

small chance I might go to Montreal for a few days' vacation with my GF sometime in the next two months...i'd like to maybe do a show, not a festival, like an evening with a couple of bands i like at a neat downtown Montreal club maybe?

I can secretly plan the vacation around a show I want to see and be like "wow, coincidentally, Isis is playing right during our vacation!" or something and make her go. (I kind of did that with Kayo Dot in LA!)
