The second full-length album by Monumentum Damnati will be released on May 30. Entitled From Beyond, the album is is pushing the band even further, towards a faster, avant-garde and heavier direction. It consists of 11 tracks in the Victorian gothic horror atmosphere, with lyrics in which you can recognize the creepy characters from the worlds of Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, as well as creepy mythological stories.
Tracks were pre-mixed by Koliopanos Filippos and mixed and mastered in Tidalwave Studio by Patrick Damiani (Carach Angren, Sopor Aeternus, Umbra et Imago, Falkenbach). Cover art and logo made by Olga Kann / Abhoth, who is also a composer for such projects as Withered Land, Bleeding Malice, Life For Ner’Zhul.

Monumentum Damnati is a two-piece band from Belarus created by Olga Kann (Abhoth) and Alex Rabets (Thanatos). The project released their first album, In The Tomb Of A Forgotten King, in 2020. Music focused around dark metal, melodic doom/death and symphonic black/death metal with eerie and epic orchestral arrangements and avant-garde neoclassical elements. On their live shows and music videos they use grotesque masks that hide the participants’ faces. Under the influence of various experiments and horror-atmosphere, songs focus around such topics: Victorian Gothic, mental disorders, dark folklore and mythology, occultism, characters of various horror and surreal works (Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, etc.).
