This is Moonblood's second full length, following the epic masterpiece Blut und Krieg. The sound on this CD is not unlike Blut und Krieg, but it doesn't sound quite as dark and haunting, and the songs are less varied. Whereas the songs on Blut und Krieg range from slow and almospheric to a fast all out black metal assault, the songs on Taste Our German Steel are all fast paced. Many of the riffs are two sting tremolo riffs in a major key, making for a melodic sound which still retains an element of gloom, yet doesn't necessarily sound wicked or evil. I personally enjoy this CD almost as much as Blut und Krieg, though it is definitely not exactly the same overall in terms of style. If you are looking for some high quality melodic, yet raw black metal, be sure to give this a listen
