the only herculoid i didn't totally love was the gorilla dude, and he had the whole mammal thing against him, so it's not really his fault.

totally totally agreed. but the globbs too. i didn't even really count them as herculoids.

we used to re-enact herculoid battles during break in 3rd grade. i was laser-tailed dragon.

the globs were drawn really cool--i recall they had a filled-in outline, which conveyed the impression of a relatively thick translucent cell membrane.

funny, my mind says it has a stache (a fu-manchu thing), but the pics show it as sporting a goatee

slime = gloop & gleep
ape = igoo (that's igloo minus the L)
