More great pics Sammi

I've been around the area of the Dakota several times since Lennon was killed and everytime I walk by or drive by and look down the walkway, I always get chills

He was always a Brit at heart but he was very proud of the fact that he lived in NY and called himself a New Yorker on many an occasion and it's sad that's where his life ended. He loved the hustle and bustle of NYC as it reminded him of home.

Did you & Paxo happen to venture to Strawberry Fields in Central Park? after all these years you'll find many fans gathering on the anniversary paying tribute in many ways from leaving flowers, lighting candles and even singing tunes.

See, now I don't like that about him!! You are from where you are from, regardless of where you end up living - I am proud to be English (and even more so, a Mancunian!!), so, for example, if I ended up living in New York/London/Timbuctoo - I would never, ever say that I was a New Yorker/Londoner/Timbuctoo-er (lol)...wherever I was in the world, I'd still be saying I'm a Mancunian!! You can take the girl out of Manchester, but you can't take Manchester out of the girl! :)

I hear you 100 % I'm sure John never forgot where he came from and I'm not too sure why he settled down in NYC? maybe because Yoko wanted to? He was head over heels for her so maybe it was her wish to live there? but you're right, he'll always be known as a little lad from Liverpool:cool:

John gave NYC a certain something and the city loved him back.

I can see why he liked it there :) I didn't think I would like it, but I loved it! Wouldn't like to live there, it's too manic - but I'll definitely be going back for another visit, there's lots more I want to see yet!

I love hitting the city too:cool: why not? i'm only 17 miles or so from it but yeah, the city is very fastpaced and I like to do things at my own speed:grin:

I know many who live in NYC and they love it and wouldn't want it any other way which is  too but as the old addage goes "It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't wantto live there" holds true to me.
