Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a movie based on MoS? I think it would :D

If I get better at filming and get some friends who'd help (director, I can't direct people, and a producer, to pay all the money ) I might give it a go (if I can get permission of course lol)

I'm not talking about a music video, but a movie. What do you think? Would it be cool??

TBH, I'm not quite sure MoS would translate well into a movie, The language and imagery in the lyrics always seemed vivid enough to me, and a movie would wind up turning out to be pretty much just showing in video what the lyrics are describing, which would be a bit 'meh' in my opinion.

I was actually going to do a short film based on the song for a school project in a computer class, but I wasn't able to because of technical and casting restrictions. I'm not incredibly good with computers, lol..

Yeah that song would require a lot of CG and SFX (the cliff, mirrors, etc) but if you do lemme know, I want to do it to and would be interested in seeing what you come up with :)

I'm not going to do it, but my plan was to actually make it the same length as the song, with the song narrating what was going on in the movie. I was going to try to kind of choreograph the actors of the protagonist and Jesus so they were mouthing the words that they said in the song at the same time, so it looked like they were saying it. Like have Jesus say "But you are wrong my friend" or "The man that you saw in the mirror was you" at the same time that line plays in the song, which would be playing the whole time.

I think this would be great done as a pure CGI/3d anime type piece...no real actors harmed during the filming process. I think an anime style to the 3d would be better, just because everyone now expects Avatar-like perfection from any 3d, unless it's very cartoony like How to Train Your Dragon or Shrek or something like that...and absurdly cartoony would lose the coolness factor.

Also, Laying the Demon to Rest could be made into an ultra-cool 3d animated video as well...interspersed with the real musicians doing their stuff.
