motw interview

I read this interview last week and the members of the band seem to have greatly varying views on music, this probably aids greatly in what they’re trying to do with their music, but even after reading this interview and listening many times to ‘Bath’ and ‘Leaving You Body Map’ I still don’t fully understand their music, it’s odd to say the least.

nor can i , i still havent heard there first one , how does it sound compared to Bath/leaving?

the instrumentation is a lot less. it has the jazziness, most has a bit more elements of grungy thrash, and lots of distorted guitar where they'd have a clarinet or etc. on bath/lybm

I think the first album compliments their latter two. I'm probably the fan that I am because of the first album-- though, of course, I love their later style too. The first album is not unlike Esoteric but with a much higher caliber of poetry in the music and lyrics; and a much greater range of musical style across the album, if not within each song. :)

Btw, I think they're in the midst of getting a forum on the UM. But it's not definite yet.

Sounds to me like it's not much unlike Bath or Leaving Your Body Map. Are the albums really all that different where you would seperate their 'styles'? I haven't heard anything off of My Fruit Psychobells, something I'll remedy right now.
